Younger girls will wear light pink leotards & light pink tights. Please no glitter leotards. Older girls will wear black leotards & pink tights or black Capri pants. Verify with the director what color leotard is worn for your child’s class. Boys will wear black jazz pants & white t-shirt. Girls wear hair pulled back or up.
No Baggy T-Shirts or Cover-ups, or shorts with writing on the seat.

Orders for dancewear will be placed once a month after the start of the first semester. PLEASE ASK YOUR TEACHER HOW TO PLACE AN ORDER AND CHECK FOR PROPER FIT OF DANCEWEAR.
No jewelry, no gum, no hanging on the barre, no running, no discourtesy to other students, no rough housing. Please be Punctual!
Due the first class of each month. Please pay timely! Monthly accounting envelopes are provided. Please put your fees in a completed accounting envelope and drop in the lock box. Do not pay extra for five-week months. Do not deduct for holidays as they balance out with the 5-week months.
Confirm with the director to receive a referral credit approval. After your referral has signed up and paid for one month’s lessons, you will receive a credit of $30 towards your tuition. Simply write the name of the referral on the accounting envelope for that month and drop it in the lock box.
A missed class may be made up by attending a similar class only if the student's teacher has been informed in advance of the impending absence. If the studio cancels a class due to bad weather or an emergency, a make-up time will be given. Be sure the studio can reach you by phone.
Bad weather information
United Arts Academy will be closed in accordance with the Monroe County public schools. When Monroe County closes at the beginning of a school day due to bad weather we will close. If Monroe County Public Schools have classes at the beginning of the day we will be open. We will contact you by phone if there is a change in this policy.

A six (6) student minimum must be maintained for all opened classes. If class enrollment drops below the minimum the class may be combined with a similar existing class.
Parents are encouraged to observe the last class of October ~January ~April On observation day please leave small children at home it is hard for them to remain quiet during the class. Please turn off cell phones. If you cannot observe on the given days special permission to observe at a different time may be obtained by asking the director Diana Brahms .
Must be paid in advance of the first class! The fee is $30 per family. This fee will reserve the student's space at United Arts Academy. The Annual Registration fee is non-refundable.
Must be paid for by Thursday December 22 in order for United Arts Academy to purchase costumes at a discounted cost. The costume companies give a discount if we meet their discount deadline dates. Your costume payment must be in by this date in order to receive the costumes in time for the recital. The costume cost is wholesale plus shipping & handling.
All students may participate in the annual recital held in May. Participation is optional. The Recital fee is $35. United Arts Academy will rent an auditorium and contract the necessary staff for our annual stage performance. The recital fees will be used for these expenses. Each family may invite their family and friends to attend the performance. There is no admission fee. Recital dates will be given along with the costume form in December.
These will be available for the cost of $50. Purchase is optional. For the sake of courtesy and safety, video cameras are discouraged the night of the recital. Flash pictures are not permitted during the recital. Aisle standing, extension cords and tripods for cameras are against fire marshal rules. Video and still pictures are encouraged the day of dress rehearsal only.
The academy provides a professional company to photograph each student in their costume at the studio. This will be done in May .
The photography company must take a picture to be on the composite they provide to the school. Purchase of pictures is optional.
